About YPTO Links and who we write for

We sell single backlinks on vetted websites, and we write for the people who used to buy a column inch in the printed directory.

What we do

YPTO Links is a self-serve marketplace for buying individual dofollow backlinks, editorial placements and link insertions, on real websites. Each site is vetted for traffic.

The inventory holds 50,000+ donor domains. Prices run from $1 per link up to about $500, you pay as you go, and there is no subscription.

We write for local owners, the plumber, the dentist, the florist, who are told weekly that directories and links will save them. Some will help. Many will not.

Who reads these pages

A florist in a market town, a three-chair dental practice, an electrician who works two counties. These are the owners we picture.

Their questions are practical. Do I need to pay Yelp-style directories? Will fixing my NAP help in 2026? Is a link from a trade blog worth $20?

Our pages try to answer each one in the first few lines, then give the detail: the free versus paid Q&A for listings, the red flag list for offers, and the budget plan for spending.

Our one rule for listings

Free first. Always.

Claim the profile that costs nothing before you pay for a directory slot, because the free ones sit nearest to the people who are searching and they cost you only an afternoon.

How we work

  • Pages from real questions

Our pages answer what local owners ask about citations, listings and links.

  • Only facts we can state

Prices, inventory and delivery on this site come from how the marketplace works. Examples are labelled as examples.

  • No promises about rankings

Links are one input among many, and we say so.

  • Our own data

Donor numbers come from our own crawler and our own index.

Why the directory veteran voice

Print directories taught shopkeepers one habit worth keeping. Before paying for a listing, ask who opens the book and what they do next.

Online listings changed the format, not the question. A directory page, a trade association member list and a local news story all answer the same thing: does a real reader see this, and could that reader become a customer?

That is how we read our own marketplace rows too. We keep the old habit, and we dislike hype.

Where the numbers come from

Any figure about our inventory reflects the marketplace as it stands. Figures about donor sites come from our own crawler and our own index.

Google updates are named with their months, and any worked example is flagged as one. If a page ever states something you cannot verify, tell us through the account page.

Contact is handled there, in one place. It keeps the replies tied to your orders.

What we do not do

We do not run a subscription, and we do not bundle links into packages you cannot inspect. Nobody on this site is promised a position in Google or a place in the map pack.

We do not invent customers, quotes or results. Where a page shows numbers, it says whether they are product facts or examples, and the competitor walkthrough is one of those example pages.

If you want to sell links from your own site instead, publishers set a price, approve every placement and are paid out weekly.
